What does 'Organic' mean?
Organic food is produced by the use of more natural farming methods. This involves avoiding use of pesticides and artificial fertilisers, genetically modified ingredients and growth promoting hormones.
To ensure that the food that reaches our shelves is truly organic, each producer must be approved by either The Organic Food Federation, The Soil Association or The Organic Farmers and Growers, who regulate the production of Organic foods to ensure that they are entirely organic.
Whenever you see these signs, including Budgens Organic Choice Logo, you'll know you are purchasing genuine Organic products.
