How to make Chocolate Truffles


  • 280g Lindt Excellence 70% dark chocolate
  • 290ml double cream
  • 50g butter
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 50g chopped nuts


  1. Chop the chocolate and place in a bowl.

  2. Heat the double cream and butter in a small pan to simmering point then pour over the chopped chocolate. Stir until it has all melted and you have a smooth glossy mixture. Chill for 3-4 hours until set.

  3. Roll the chocolate mixture into small balls before rolling in either the cocoa powder or nuts.

  4. For a simple and elegant gift, carefully place in the centre of a square of cellophane and tie with coloured ribbon.
