Christmas Turkey & Vegetable Pasty

Ingredients

  • 450g Cooked turkey, diced
  • 50g Cooked carrots, chopped
  • 50g Brussels sprouts, chopped
  • 2 Cooked potatoes, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 3-4 tbsp Gravy
  • 450g Puff pastry
  • Flour, for dusting
  • 1 Egg, beaten

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 180°C, 160°C fan, 350°F, gas 4. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.

  2. Combine the meat and vegetables and season to taste with salt and pepper. Add the gravy and mix well.

  3. Roll out the pastry on a floured surface and cut out 4 rounds, using an upturned plate as a guide.

  4. Divide the filling equally between the rounds, leaving a ½ cm space at the edges.

  5. Dampen the edges and draw up to meet on top of the filling. Crimp the edges firmly together and make a small slit in the top to allow the steam to escape.

  6. Place on a baking tray, brush with beaten egg and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
