Crunchy Strawberries


  • 400g caster sugar
  • 200ml water
  • 1 pack strawberries, hulled (227g)


  1. Heat sugar and water together in a pan until bubbling, smooth and just turning golden – this will take about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from the heat.
  3. Place fruit on skewers.
  4. Dip fruit into the boiling sugar.
  5. Dunk into iced water until set.
