Pesto, Cheese and Ham Toasties


  • 4 thick slices Bread
  • 1 pot or 2 tbsp Sacla’ Classic Basil Pesto
  • 50g Cheddar, sliced
  • 2 slices Parma or normal ham
  • Butter for spreading


  1. Spread one side of each slice of bread with Sacla’ Pesto.

  2. Layer the cheese and then the ham on 2 of the slices then top with remaining bread, Pesto-side down.

  3. Spread the outside of the bread with a little butter.

  4. Heat a large frying pan over a medium heat and cook the toasties for 4-5 minutes on one side, until bread underneath is toasted (press down gently with a spatula so they cook evenly).

  5. Flip the toasties over and cook on the other side for a few more minutes until bread is toasted and cheese has melted.

  6. Cut in half diagonally and serve straight away.
