Tuna And Cheese Melt

Ingredients

  • 1 x 145g tin tuna chunks in oil
  • 2 tbsp salad cream
  • 2 spring onions, roughly chopped
  • Sea salt and black pepper
  • 2 slices white bread
  • 2 slices Leerdamer cheese
  • 1 tsp chives, finely chopped
  • 2-4 small gherkins

Method

  1. Preheat the grill to high, or set an air fryer ready to go.

  2. Tip the tuna, salad cream, spring onions, half the chives, salt and black pepper into a bowl and mix until combined.

  3. Toast the bread on one side under the grill/air fryer until light golden brown.

  4. Spoon the mixture over the untoasted side of the bread and spread evenly to the edges.

  5. Lay the cheese over the top and return to the grill/air fryer for 3-4 minutes until just bubbling.

  6. Divide between serving plates and top with the chives. Serve the gherkins alongside.
